Picareni formal and evening wear is offered in letter sizes (S through 3XL). Each product page may include its own measurement chart, fit notes, or styling guidance that applies specifically to that item. This page explains how to take your measurements, how to read the information on product pages, and what to do if you are unsure which size to choose.
How Picareni Sizes Work
All representative items in this store use the same letter-size range: S, M, L, XL, 2XL, and 3XL. However, the actual body measurements that correspond to each letter can differ from one style to another depending on the cut, fabric, and design. A product page that includes a size chart will list Bust, Waist, and Hip values in inches for each letter size. Always check the specific chart on the item you are considering rather than assuming one size applies across the entire collection.
Taking Your Body Measurements
Use a soft, flexible measuring tape. Keep it snug against your skin without pulling tight or letting it twist. Stand in a relaxed, natural posture with your arms at your sides.
Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape level and parallel to the floor. Do not compress the tissue.
Waist: Find your natural waistline—the narrowest part of your torso, typically just above the navel. Measure around this point without holding your breath or sucking in.
Hip: Measure around the widest part of your hips and upper buttocks, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.
Record your measurements in inches. If you are measuring over clothing, wear a thin, form-fitting layer rather than bulky garments.
Reading a Product Size Chart
When a product page shows a chart with ranges such as “Bust 33–35” for Size S, those figures represent body measurements—not the finished garment dimensions. The garment itself will have additional ease built into the pattern. Compare your own bust, waist, and hip numbers to the ranges listed for each size on that specific product page.
Several Picareni items note that manual measurement may vary by approximately 0.4 to 1.2 inches. Treat the chart as a guide rather than a precise guarantee of fit.
Choosing Between Sizes
Fit varies by style. Some gowns are described as slim through the bust and waist with a flowing skirt, while others are tailored for a regular fit through the bodice. Read the “Fabric & Fit” section on each product page to understand how the garment is cut.
Multiple product pages advise sizing up if you fall between two sizes. This guidance is specific to those items and reflects their particular construction. If a product page does not include such a note, consider the key measurements where you are closest to the upper limit of a range and think about your preferred level of ease.
Do not rely solely on the size you wear in other brands. Letter sizes are not standardized across manufacturers, and a comfortable M in one collection may feel different in another.
